AFP photographer Moussa Al Shaer took top photo honors in the prestigious Arab Journalism Awards, garnering the prize with a picture of a stone-throwing child in the West Bank town of Bethlehem. Shaer was among the winners in a dozen categories announced by the Dubai Press Club ahead of a presentation ceremony that will also pay tribute to Tarek Ayub, the Al Jazeera television journalist killed in the Iraq war. The 44-year-old Shaer has worked as a free-lance photographer for AFP for three years.
